Outstanding guest lecturers with different backgrounds
Our founder and owner Gunnar Gombert had the pleasure of welcoming two outstanding guest lecturers with different backgrounds to the IU International University of Applied Sciences.
Insights into the importance of the property industry in Germany
Brigitte Walter from the ZIA German Property Federation gave an insight into the importance of the property industry in Germany in the lecture "Fundamentals of property economics". With figures such as a gross value added of EUR 670 billion and thus a 20% share of the total value added - 26% of all companies, 10% of all employees - she emphasised the central role of our industry. Above all, Brigitte's explanations on the political representation of interests in Berlin, such as the Growth Opportunities Act, the BauGB amendment, the EU Buildings Directive and the EPBD, were extremely exciting and in tune with the times.
Foundation of a brokerage firm
Sandra Maria Müller from Herzstuben - Immobilien im Allgäu brought a completely different topic to the lecture "Management of residential and commercial property" - her fresh experiences as a company founder. From the business licence to the legal form, CI, positioning and marketing, to effective marketing strategies - Sandra's steps towards self-employment and her letting and sales processes motivated the students enormously. Gunnar Gombert is certain that there are future founders among them: "After all, our industry offers enough room for innovation."
A big thank you to Brigitte and Sandra for their valuable contributions and inspiring stories from the field!
